Recipe Challenge

It's been a couple of months since my last post. Probably been a couple of months since I last created a layout too. So it was about time I did another layout, and a recipe challenge is a perfect way to get back into it - as you don't have to decide on everything yourself, half the decisions have been made for you. I find it really helps ease you back into the creative process.

The recipe for the layout challenge was:
Dart shapes
Colours - Red, white, blue, orange – use any three of these
Five different designs of patterned paper
Something metal
Subject – male human :)
Three circles and two triangles
A four word title
A minimum of 30 words of journaling.

And this is what I came up with:

The journaling reads:
"This deployment took you all over the world, to places you had never been and may never go to again. You got to play tourist, but your reason for being there was, of course, for work. The main role of HMNZS Te Mana in this deployment was to protect the locals and foreign vessels from pirates in the Arabian Gulf."

Cardstock : American Crafts; Patterned Paper: October Afternoon 'Rocket Age' x5; mini alpha stickers, blue pen; metal pieces from my broken lamp and other sources.

Thanks for viewing :-)
