20 Piece Card Set
Hi crafty peeps,
Back to some cards again today after a few weeks of layouts!
I love making cards. At the moment I probably like making cards more than I like making layouts. So when I was asked to make a set of cards to give as a gift I was more than happy to do so. This time round I was given two or three weeks advance notice but I got on to making them right away.
I did it completely different to the last few sets of cards I had made - instead of using 6x6 paper pads and making three cards with each collection, I just simply started making them with whatever was on my desk and whatever I pulled out. If I made one I liked I made a few more like it, and put some aside for another day.
I started with a piece of white cardstock that I had painted with water colour paints a few years back. I made one card, then another and continued using this piece of water coloured card and then based all the other cards off those cards - both in pattern and in colour. A completely different and fresh approach to the other sets I have made over the years.
I made cards for birthdays,
and new arrivals.
I made the same theme of card in different colour-ways.
It wasn't all water colours.
I used lots of coordinating elements like buttons.
And on some I added more sentiments than papers.
And here is the final set. Water colours and patterned papers. Oranges, pinks, yellows and greens. Birthdays, thanks you's and celebrations.
I hope you have found something inspiring today.
Until next time,
