Watercolour Double Page Layout
So today I have a double page layout to share. I haven't done one of those in quite a while (I think I have actually done one this year though). I didn't intend to do a double, but the three photos didn't fit well on a single page. These were photos I printed off in 6x4 size a year or so ago, and I wanted to use what I had.
I was tidying up my supplies and I saw the little hut covered in snow that I had previously fussy cut and decided that was my next layout. I looked through my printed photos for snow pictures and found these three, showing each of my niece and nephews having a snow experience what they visited.
With the hut as the starting point, I did quite a bit of background work. I matted the pictures first and sorted them out so I knew where they were going, then did the water coloring and stamping.
My title is done with three different alpha sets. I wanted it as neutrally coloured as possible.
This little snow man sticker had come with some Christmas words quite some time ago and he finally got a home! He was a good colour match for my page, at long last.
All the different colours on my background. I also stamped snowflakes in silver ink and stuck a silver gem in the centre of all the large ones.
My layers. I wanted to go quite neutral for the papers, knowing my background was going to have a lot of colour. So I mainly used greys, with a little stripe of chevron in blues. I also added in some white/clear washi with gold snowflakes - I don't scrap many snow photos so I've got to take the opportunity! And a bit of tangled thread in white and greens.
Thanks for stopping by today. And maybe next time when you're trying to do a multi photo layout and it's looking cramped, spread it out into a double layout.
Until next week,
