White ... With 1 May Reveal

Hi there,

Welcome to the White .. With 1 May colour and layout reveal!

May is a gorgeous colour, and fits in nicely with the upcoming Mother's Day!

May also comes with this mood board to help you with some inspiration. I used the flowers and the buttons on mine.

And this is my White ... With 1 Creative Team layout for May 2018:

I decided to do a layout that was lots of lovely white layers with pops of the Gerbera Petal pink - you know, white ... with 1 :-)

I went with a feminine floral layout, and a photo of my wedding bouquet.

I did white layers behind my photo instead of pink, to keep the layout light with that traditional wedding feel.

Here you can see my layered flowers. They are both fabric and paper. I have actually used the reverse of all these flowers - the front is all sorts of bold reds, oranges, blues, greens etc.

I filled in the spaces between the white flowers with small embellishments in the Gerbera Petal pink colour, as well as velum and clear elements, in addition to a leaf here and there on a handful of the white flowers.

On the top and bottom of the page I added a small strip of patterned paper, a line of skinny white washi tape with gold hearts, and a larger embellishment. On the bottom that was a tag with a sweet quote, embellished with the same embellishments used throughout the page, and layered on top of a pale pink tulle, small white doily and white thread. On the top (shown in a previous photo) is a resin banner piece, stitched on with metallic pink thread.

I loved making this page, and I love the end result. The White ... With 1 challenge doesn't mean you have to make a whole layout in that months colour with pops of white, it can be the opposite of a page in white with pops of that months colour - or anything in between!

If you want to take part, make a layout using only white and Gerbera Petal and link it up over at White ... With 1 with your name and country of residence (there are prizes for anyone, anywhere).

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next week,
Jessica T
