Sunshine Layout

Hey there crafty friends,

I told you I'd be back this week! I did take a break from crafting and blogging, but I am back with regular posts on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd of each month.

My layout today, as seems to be my tradition this year, is another layout using the White ... With 1 colour of the month - if I've spent the time digging through my whole stash pulling out everything in the right colour, I am not simply just going to put it away after 1 layout! My second layout however wont always solely stick to that colour, as it isn't a Creative Team layout or for a challenge of any sort so I have creative freedom.

As it is Summer in America at the moment, my Pinterest feed and YouTube subscriptions are full of summery layouts many including sunbursts and I was inspired to do one myself. I have a 12x12 Heidi Swapp sunburst stencil from a few years back which I used, and I also filled in all the white sections with yellow patterned papers, vellum, washi strips etc.

I used up all the summer themed and yellow embellishments I could find. Including these sunshine and swimsuit rub-ons, as well as the sun peeking from behind the photo and the palm tree on the opposite side of the photo (seen below).

I used up all my really old eyelets too! I added them on the white sections of the sun rays and added light yellow velum on top.

I added the fish eyelets on top, with a second lot of suns under vellum beside that. I dotted some tiny stars and yellow gems around in the three areas with raised/ coloured elements.

This one has white rub-ons with a summer theme, along with three yellow brads.

Gosh I used up a bunch of old ephemera on this layout! It's so good to use it up, get it out of my valuable space, without throwing it away.

Well thanks for stopping in today.
See you again next week for another crafty project!
Jessica T.
